TGI Maldives Halaveli Diving - Rasdhoo Atoll
The team at TGI Maldives Halaveli Diving are a solid choice for exploring the Rasdhoo Atoll, especially if you’re staying at the resort. We've always found their operation smooth, with that relaxed Italian efficiency we appreciate. They run regular trips to the big animal sites; think Hammerhead Point for dawn dives, where the current can be a bit frisky but the sight of those sharks slicing through the blue is absolutely worth it. Our favourite dives with them are often around Madivaru Kandu. The currents here really pump, bringing in the pelagics. We’ve seen manta rays doing their feeding dance right in the channel, sometimes so close you feel the displacement of water as they glide past. Visibility often pushes past 25 metres, giving you that sensation of flying through an aquarium. They do offer night dives, too, and we’d suggest trying one around the house reef; the bioluminescence can be incredible, like tiny stars in the inky water, and you might spot a reef shark hunting. It’s a comfortable centre, good for couples or families who want reliable access to some proper Maldivian diving without the fuss.
