South Ari Marine Protected Area
Why dive here
With 148+ marine species recorded in the area - including blacktip reef sharks, sea turtles and whale sharks - Ariyadhoo Corner offers some of South Ari Atoll's richest reef diving. Water sits around 29°C.
Ariyadhoo Corner is a decent drift dive, often with a consistent current along the reef wall. Keep an eye out for grey reef sharks patrolling the drop-off and the occasional eagle ray gliding past. It's a good spot for advanced divers comfortable with drifts and looking for pelagics, though the reef itself isn't the main draw. Visibility averages 20m, making it easy to spot bigger fish moving in the blue.
