With 45+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, blacktip reef sharks, blue sharks, sea turtles and whale sharks - Dhidhoo corner (out reef) offers some of Vaavu Atoll's richest reef diving. Water ranges 29-31°C, warmest April, May, June.
Dhidhoo Corner is a solid choice for a dive in Vaavu Atoll, particularly if you're keen on seeing some of the bigger pelagics. We’ve had a few good whale shark encounters here, often just cruising by the deeper parts of the reef. The corals themselves include some nice patches of staghorn and table corals, a decent backdrop as you drift along. It's an easy drift, suitable for most divers looking for a relaxed experience with a chance of something special passing through.
