With 45+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, blacktip reef sharks, blue sharks, sea turtles and whale sharks - Fish Bank offers some of Vaavu Atoll's richest pinnacle diving. Water ranges 29-31°C, warmest April, May, July.
Fish Bank in Vaavu Atoll lives up to its name, attracting a good number of reef sharks and the occasional whale shark. We often see extensive beds of clump seagrass and thalassia here, providing a unique backdrop compared to many Maldivian sites. Look for blacktip reef sharks patrolling the edges and, if you're lucky, a whale shark cruising by. It’s a straightforward dive, good for divers who appreciate marine megafauna and different underwater scenery.
