Fish Thila in Vaavu Atoll is a solid choice for an easy, pleasant dive. This pinnacle rises from the sandy bottom to about 23 meters, making it quite accessible for beginners or those just looking for a relaxed swim. We often find schooling fusiliers here, sometimes in such numbers they form a shimmering wall as you circle the thila. Keep an eye out for white-tip reef sharks cruising the perimeter; it's a common spot for them to patrol. It’s not an adrenaline rush, but it’s consistently enjoyable, especially on a sunny afternoon when the light filters beautifully through the schools of fish.
