With 45+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, blacktip reef sharks, blue sharks, sea turtles and whale sharks - Five rocks offers some of Vaavu Atoll's richest reef diving. Water ranges 29-31°C, warmest April, May, July.
Five Rocks lives up to its name, a cluster of formations that create interesting swim-throughs and overhangs. We've seen blacktip reef sharks cruise past, and the schools of fusiliers are usually thick here. It’s a good spot for a relaxed drift, suitable for divers comfortable navigating a few tunnels. Look for the patches of seagrass where we’ve occasionally spotted a whale shark.
