Fotteyo Kandu - Vaavu Atoll

Fotteyo Kandu gets a lot of hype in Vaavu Atoll, and for good reason. It’s a classic Maldives channel dive, usually with a decent current pushing you through. We’ve seen everything from grey reef sharks patrolling the drop-off to schooling eagle rays gliding by. Keep an eye on the soft corals, especially the staghorns, they’re particularly lush here and often shelter schooling fusiliers. It’s a site for divers comfortable with current, offering a fast-paced drift and plenty of pelagic action.
