Fushi Kandu in Vaavu Atoll delivers a classic Maldives drift. We’ve found the currents here can really pick up, so be ready for a ride, particularly at certain tides. It’s a nice channel dive, usually with plenty of staghorn coral formations blanketing the reef flats. While we don't always spot the big pelagics here, it’s a good spot for surveying the smaller reef residents and enjoying that effortless glide. We’d say it suits divers comfortable with stronger currents, looking for a relaxed channel exploration rather than intense action.

    Safety Notes

Drift dive - carry a surface marker buoy (SMB) and stay with your group. Brief the current direction before entry.
