Rasgefanno - Vaavu Atoll

Rasgefanno is a deep reef in Vaavu Atoll, known for its thresher shark cleaning station at 55 meters. This site is definitely for experienced divers comfortable with deeper profiles and potential currents. We’ve seen these elusive sharks moving slowly around the cleaning station, a rare sight that makes the deep dive worthwhile. Beyond the sharks, the deeper sections host seagrass beds of thalassia and cymodocea, adding a different texture to the typical Maldivian reef.
