    Soamahaa Thila, a pinnacle in Vaavu Atoll, is a nice, relaxed dive, especially when the current isn't ripping. We usually find it fairly sheltered, making it a good spot for newer divers getting comfortable with Maldivian thilas. Look for the overhangs at about 15 metres, often home to sleeping nurse sharks and white-tip reef sharks. It's a pleasant drift over the top, keeping an eye out for schooling bannerfish and a few eagle rays gliding past.
