With 401+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, blue sharks, blue-spotted stingrays, dolphins and dugongs - Passe Bandrelé offers some of Mayotte Lagoon's richest drift diving. Water ranges 27-31°C, warmest February, March, April.
Passe Bandrelé offers a good drift dive experience within the Mayotte Lagoon. At a comfortable 20-meter max depth, it’s a solid intermediate dive. We’ve found the current here to be pretty reliable for a nice, easy float through the pass, letting you really take in the scenery. Keep an eye out for patrolling reef sharks and the bigger pelagics that cruise in and out with the tide. It's a relaxed dive, perfect for those who enjoy letting the ocean do the work.
