With 511+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, blacktip reef sharks, blue sharks, dolphins and eagle rays - Maharani offers some of Saint-Gilles & West Coast's richest diving. Water ranges 25-29°C, warmest January, February, March.
Maharani, off Réunion’s west coast, makes for a relaxed dive, especially if you’re still getting comfortable in the water. At a maximum depth of 15 metres, it’s a gentle introduction to the local reef, with plenty of time to take things in. We’ve found you’ll often spot smaller reef fish here, along with the occasional moray eel peeking from crevices. It’s a good spot to just cruise along, build confidence, and enjoy a pleasant, easy dive.
