Petites Gorgones - Saint-Gilles & West Coast
Petites Gorgones is a solid choice if you're just getting your fins wet in Réunion. This reef plate sits at a comfortable 20 metres, making it an easy drift for beginners or a relaxed second dive. You'll find it scattered with those distinctive purple gorgonian fans, which give the site its name, along with plenty of smaller reef fish darting between the coral heads. We usually spot parrotfish and surgeonfish here, sometimes a turtle if you're lucky. It’s a gentle introduction to the island's underwater world, without any strong currents to worry about.
