Why dive here
With 511+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, blacktip reef sharks, blue sharks, dolphins and eagle rays - sankuba offers some of Saint-Gilles & West Coast's richest diving. Water ranges 25-29°C, warmest January, February, March.
Sankuba sits at 48 meters, making it one for the expert diver. It’s a deep reef, and while specific species records are still sparse, we’ve often encountered pelagics patrolling the outer edge, sometimes even a reef shark cruising by. Drop down, check your bottom time, and keep an eye out into the blue. This site is a solid choice for those comfortable with deeper profiles looking for a quiet, exploratory dive.
