Why dive here
With 183+ marine species recorded in the area - including barracuda, dolphins, sea turtles, sperm whales and lionfish - Big Mama offers some of Inner Islands's richest diving. Water ranges 27-30°C, warmest March, April, May.
Big Mama is a straightforward dive, good for a relaxed morning. You'll find granite boulders creating small swim-throughs, home to octopus tucked into crevices and parrotfish grazing on the coral. It’s a comfortable depth, making it a good option for newer divers or those looking for a chilled-out dive without strong currents. Expect to see the usual reef suspects here, nothing too dramatic, just a pleasant dive.
