Diyamba Gala - Hikkaduwa & South Coast
Diyamba Gala offers a decent, if sometimes challenging, dive off Hikkaduwa. Dropping down to 33 meters, it’s a site for those comfortable with a bit of depth and potentially some current. We’ve often found schooling snapper and fusiliers here, hugging the deeper sections of the reef, and the occasional turtle glides past if you keep an eye out. Visibility can vary, as with much of the south coast, so pick your day. It’s a good choice for divers wanting something a little deeper than Hikkaduwa’s usual sites.
