    StandoutRich in charismatic marine life

The Kapungoda Wreck, lying south of Negombo, is a decent dive for those who enjoy exploring artificial reefs. This old ship has broken up a bit over time, but there are still plenty of sections to poke around in. Expect to find resident lionfish tucked into crevices and schools of fusiliers darting through the superstructure. It's a relaxed dive, good for photographers and divers looking for an easy wreck experience.

    Safety Notes

Wreck site - avoid penetration without wreck diving certification. Watch for sharp metal and entanglement hazards.
