SOLI - Hikkaduwa & South Coast
The SOLI wreck sits in Hikkaduwa’s shallows, an accessible dive at just 10 metres, making it a good spot for newer divers or those looking for a relaxed second dive. This old tanker is well-broken, with its hull split and superstructure scattered across the sandy bottom. You can poke around the different sections, finding schools of snapper weaving through the metalwork and lionfish often tucked into crevices. The light plays nicely on the parts, and it's interesting to see how the reef has started to reclaim the metal, with patches of hard coral growing in places. We’ve found it’s a good site for spotting smaller reef fish without having to push any depth limits.
