Submarine Diving School - Hikkaduwa & South Coast
The Submarine Diving School site in Hikkaduwa is a decent spot for a casual dive, particularly if you’re staying in the area. We’ve found the reef hosts a surprising number of smaller, more overlooked species – think Striped Triplefins darting in and out of the coral, or groups of Yellowstriped Cardinalfish hovering in the shade. You might even spot a Pinda Moray peeking from its hideaway. It’s a good choice for newer divers or those looking for a relaxed afternoon underwater, without the need for epic currents or deep dives. The coral here is fairly resilient, with some nice staghorn formations, providing plenty of nooks for small critters.
