TARA - Trincomalee & East Coast
The TARA wreck is a barge, scuttled in 1994, now sitting in a very shallow five metres of water. It’s a great spot if you’re looking for a quick, relaxed dive or even some extended snorkelling. The wreck itself isn't huge, but it's well-colonised with small reef fish, crabs, and nudibranchs. We’ve found moray eels tucked into crevices too. Visibility here can be excellent, making it ideal for underwater photography, especially for macro subjects. Given the depth, it’s a brilliant training site for open water students, or simply a fun, easy dive to finish off the day.
