Fun Diving Krk - Istria Peninsula
The team at Fun Diving Krk are the kind of people you want to dive with on holiday. They’ve been at it for ages, since '99, and you can tell. They’re based right there in Krk harbour, which is handy, no faffing about with long transfers. We really like their focus on small groups, especially for beginners; it means you’re not just part of a conveyor belt. They’re super organised, and honestly, the "no tank-carrying" policy is a winner – a small detail that makes a big difference after a couple of dives. We’ve had some cracking dives with them exploring the local wrecks, and the caves around Krk are surprisingly atmospheric. Think shafts of light piercing the gloom, schools of silversides scattering as you pass. Visibility in the summer can be surprisingly good, often hitting 20 metres or more, and the water temperature means you’re not freezing. Our favourite spots tend to be the quieter coves they know, away from the day-tripper crowds. They’re great for relaxed drift dives, watching barracuda cruise past and octopuses peek from crevices. They’ve even got their own accommodation, which just makes everything even easier.
