Fishermarman's friend wreck - Kornati Islands

The Fishermarman’s Friend, resting at a gentle 21 metres, feels less like a tragedy and more like a permanent fixture of the Kornati seabed. We love this wreck for its accessibility; it’s perfect for those new to wreck diving, offering a safe, open environment to explore. You’re not navigating tight squeezes or worrying about advanced certifications here. We’d suggest going early in the morning, before the day boats stir up any sediment, to catch the best light filtering through the clear Adriatic water. What you find is a small, wooden fishing boat, remarkably intact given its time underwater. Her bow is still clearly defined, and you can swim right over the deck, imagining the last fisherman who stood there. Over the years, the wreck has become a proper little reef. Schools of damselfish often flit in and out of the skeletal remains, and we’ve seen some decent-sized scorpionfish hunkered down among the planks, perfectly camouflaged. It’s a calm, reflective dive, where you can take your time inspecting the hull, spotting anemones, and just enjoying the quiet hum of the ocean.
