Coral Bay Divers - Paphos & Coral Bay
The team at Coral Bay Divers are the kind of people you immediately feel comfortable with. They’re based in Paphos, and they’ve been around for ages, which means they know these waters like the back of their hand. We love that they’re a PADI 5 Star Career Development Centre, a big deal if you’re looking at serious training beyond just a fun dive. They’re brilliant for anyone wanting to get certified, or even go pro, and their local knowledge really makes a difference. Our favourite spots with them are usually around the Akamas Peninsula, just north of Coral Bay. It’s less trafficked, and you often get a bit more peace down there. We’ve had some cracking dives exploring the little caves and overhangs – think dramatic shafts of light cutting through the blue, illuminating schools of damselfish. Visibility is usually solid, often 20 metres plus, especially in summer. We'd suggest asking them about early morning trips; you beat the crowds and sometimes catch the marine life still shaking off the night. Expect to see plenty of groupers lurking, and we’ve even spotted turtles on a good day. They also have a knack for finding the smaller stuff, the nudibranchs and blennies, if you’re into macro.
