L'Incantu - Corsica

L'Incantu, just off Corsica’s coast, is one of those spots that truly embodies Mediterranean diving for us. It’s not about flashy pelagics or technicolor reefs, but rather the charm of a rocky landscape dotted with fascinating creatures. We love exploring the crevices and overhangs here, where a keen eye will pick out a surprising variety of life. Drop down and you're immediately amongst schooling sprats, a shimmering curtain that often parts to reveal grey gurnards or a camouflaged scorpionfish. Keep an eye out for larger red mullet nosing through the sand, or a watchful porgy eyeing you from a rocky ledge. For us, the highlight is often spotting a ribbonfish or, if you're truly lucky, a solitary sperm whale passing through – an infrequent but incredible encounter. This site really shines for divers who enjoy a slower pace, those who get a kick out of discovering the smaller, often overlooked inhabitants of the Med. We'd suggest going in the late afternoon; the light plays beautifully through the water, bringing out the subtle colours of the rock formations.
