Nasim, wreck - Corsica

The Nasim is a really satisfying dive, sitting upright and mostly intact at 40 metres. We love how the story of its sinking in 1993, due to a storm, feels so present when you’re down there. You can still see a lot of the ship's original cargo, like ceramic tiles and sacks of flour, which is a neat detail that sets it apart from many other wrecks. It’s got a great vibe for intermediate divers comfortable at depth, offering plenty of nooks and crannies to explore without being overly complex or penetrable. What we really enjoy is the way the light filters through the superstructure, creating these shafts of blue. Look for the schools of barracuda that often hang out just off the bow, and we’ve seen some decent-sized groupers settled into the holds. The stern section is our favourite for lingering, watching moray eels peek out from corroded plates. Visibility here is usually excellent, making it a proper visual feast. Dive it in the late morning if you can, when the sun is high, to get the best of that interior light.
