With 213+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, dolphins, great white sharks, hammerhead sharks and mobula rays (devil rays) - Secca del Careno offers some of Corsica's richest reef diving. Water ranges 15-28°C, warmest July, August, September.
Dropping to around 31 metres, Secca del Careno offers a decent dive for intermediate divers. We often see groupers here, tucked into the rocky outcrops, along with the usual Mediterranean suspects like moray eels and octopus. It’s a solid choice if you're looking for a relaxed exploration of the Corsican reef, nothing too taxing.
