With 157+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, dolphins, dwarf minke whales, humpback whales and mobula rays (devil rays) - Cap Castell offers some of Marseille & Calanques's richest diving. Water ranges 14-25°C, warmest July, August, September.
Cap Castell, tucked into the Calanques, offers a straightforward dive. We usually find rocky slopes here, dropping down to around 20 meters, good for an easy exploration. Look out for octopus peeking from crevices and the occasional moray eel. It’s a solid pick for a relaxed afternoon dive, particularly if you’re newer to the area or just want to unwind underwater.
