The ’écomusée sous-marin, just off the coast near Marseille, is a bit different. Instead of focusing on reef life, you’re looking at a collection of submerged human sculptures, an underwater art gallery if you will. At a consistent 7 meters, it’s a perfect spot for new divers to get comfortable with buoyancy, or for experienced divers to practice their photography skills on something static. It’s certainly not a drift dive, but it's a pleasant way to spend an hour, especially if you appreciate a bit of culture with your bubbles. We’d suggest going in the morning to beat any afternoon boat traffic.
