With 157+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, dolphins, dwarf minke whales, humpback whales and mobula rays (devil rays) - Epave petit open offers some of Marseille & Calanques's richest wreck diving. Water ranges 14-25°C, warmest July, August, September.
Marseille's got a few wrecks, and the *Petit Open* is a solid choice if you're looking for something accessible. We generally find it’s a nice, easy dive, usually with pretty calm conditions, which makes it good for a relaxed exploration. The wreck itself isn't massive, but it's broken up enough to offer interesting nooks and crannies, and you’ll often find conger eels tucked away in the darker spots. Keep an eye out for octopus, too; they love to camouflage themselves against the metalwork. It's a great spot for a second dive of the day, or if you're keen to introduce newer divers to wreck diving without anything too challenging.
