With 157+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, dolphins, dwarf minke whales, humpback whales and mobula rays (devil rays) - Goul du Pont offers some of Marseille & Calanques's richest diving. Water ranges 14-25°C, warmest July, August, September.
Goul du Pont is a shore entry site, a good option when the Mistral wind picks up. It’s a simple dive, mostly rock and sand, with some small caves and overhangs to poke around in. We usually see plenty of nudibranchs here, and it’s calm enough for photographers or divers looking to practice skills. It’s not the most spectacular dive in the Calanques, but it’s reliable and easy.
