With 157+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, dolphins, dwarf minke whales, humpback whales and mobula rays (devil rays) - Grotte Sainte Marguerite offers some of Marseille & Calanques's richest cave diving. Water ranges 14-25°C, warmest July, August, September.
Grotte Sainte Marguerite offers a straightforward cavern dive for those exploring the Calanques. The entrance sits around 10 meters, leading into a spacious chamber with light filtering through. We've found it’s a good spot for divers comfortable in overhead environments but not looking for anything too challenging. Expect typical Mediterranean reef fish around the opening, often moray eels tucked into crevices further in.
