With 157+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, dolphins, dwarf minke whales, humpback whales and mobula rays (devil rays) - La BCD offers some of Marseille & Calanques's richest reef diving. Water ranges 14-25°C, warmest July, August, September.
La BCD offers a good wreck dive for those exploring the Marseille area. We found the site fairly straightforward, with depths suitable for open water divers looking to gain some wreck experience. Expect to see the usual Mediterranean suspects – groupers often hang out in the superstructure, and nudibranchs can be found clinging to the metal. It’s a solid option if you’re after a relaxed dive with some history.
