La Fouillée sits just off the coast near Marseille, a solid choice for getting your fins wet without too much fuss. It's a nice, gentle slope down to around 29 metres, making it perfectly suited for those new to diving or anyone looking for a relaxed afternoon. We’ve found plenty of small stuff tucked into the rocks here – think blennies peeking out, tiny crabs scuttling around, and sometimes a cautious octopus if you’re lucky. The visibility can be quite decent on a calm day, giving you a clear view of the typical Mediterranean rock formations and the occasional passing school of damselfish. It’s not going to blow your mind with massive pelagics, but it’s a consistently pleasant dive for building confidence.
