With 157+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, dolphins, dwarf minke whales, humpback whales and mobula rays (devil rays) - Lausel offers some of Marseille & Calanques's richest diving. Water ranges 14-25°C, warmest July, August, September.
Lausel offers a straightforward dive, often used by local schools for training due to its generally calm conditions. You'll find a series of rocky outcrops and small gorgonian patches, home to typical Mediterranean wrasse and blennies. It’s a good spot for newer divers looking to get comfortable, or for an easy second dive of the day. Visibility averages around 10-15 meters on a good day.
