With 157+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, dolphins, dwarf minke whales, humpback whales and mobula rays (devil rays) - Le Protee offers some of Marseille & Calanques's richest diving. Water ranges 14-25°C, warmest July, August, September.
Le Protee offers a straightforward dive, popular for its accessibility within the Calanques. We’ve often found it a good spot for newer divers looking to get comfortable, or for a relaxed second dive. Expect a decent showing of small Mediterranean reef fish, maybe a moray eel tucked into the rocks. It’s not going to blow your mind, but it’s a reliable and enjoyable dive.
