With 157+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, dolphins, dwarf minke whales, humpback whales and mobula rays (devil rays) - Le rocher Cacaveaux offers some of Marseille & Calanques's richest cave diving. Water ranges 14-25°C, warmest July, August, September.
Cacaveaux is an interesting spot if you like exploring the smaller spaces. It's really a big cavern, more like a grotto, with lots of light filtering in through the entrance. We've seen moray eels tucked into the crevices here and the occasional octopus, too. It’s a good easy dive for newer divers looking for a bit of overhead environment experience without anything too challenging.
