With 157+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, dolphins, dwarf minke whales, humpback whales and mobula rays (devil rays) - Le Sécanion offers some of Marseille & Calanques's richest diving. Water ranges 14-25°C, warmest July, August, September.
Le Sécanion is a nice spot for a relaxed dive, especially if you’re just starting out or fancy an easy afternoon. Dropping to a comfortable 15 meters, it’s a gentle introduction to the Mediterranean, without the drama of deeper wrecks or heavy currents. We often see schooling damselfish here, sometimes a passing dentex, and the light plays beautifully through the shallower sections. It's a solid choice for getting comfortable in the water, or for a refresh dive before tackling some of the area's bigger sites.
