With 157+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, dolphins, dwarf minke whales, humpback whales and mobula rays (devil rays) - Le Vengeur offers some of Marseille & Calanques's richest diving. Water ranges 14-25°C, warmest July, August, September.
Le Vengeur, just off Marseille, is a relatively shallow wreck, making it accessible for newer wreck divers or those looking for a longer bottom time. The site is an old fishing trawler, largely intact, sitting upright on a sandy bottom. You’ll find moray eels tucked into the superstructure and small schools of damselfish flitting around the mast. It’s a good introductory wreck dive in the area.
