Why dive here
With 157+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, dolphins, dwarf minke whales, humpback whales and mobula rays (devil rays) - Les chambres offers some of Marseille & Calanques's richest cave diving. Water ranges 14-25°C, warmest July, August, September.
Les Chambres, just off Marseille, offers a unique cave diving experience. It's less about coral and more about the geology, with a series of chambers and swim-throughs to explore. Visibility can vary, but on a good day, the light filtering in is quite something. This site is best for experienced divers comfortable in overhead environments.
Safety Notes
Overhead environment - never enter without proper cave/cavern training, redundant equipment, and a guideline.
