Iles Marseillaises - Cassidaigne
Why dive here
With 157+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, dolphins, dwarf minke whales, humpback whales and mobula rays (devil rays) - Les moyades offers some of Marseille & Calanques's richest diving. Water ranges 14-25°C, warmest July, August, September.
Les Moyades offers a pleasant dive, particularly when conditions are calm. We usually find schools of damselfish flitting around the rock formations, and sometimes a few barracuda cruise by. It's a straightforward site, good for knocking the rust off or for newer divers looking for an easy afternoon. Visibility can be a bit variable, but on a good day, it opens up nicely.
