Pierre Jaques - Marseille & Calanques
The Pierre Jaques, a fishing boat sunk near Planier Island, is a solid intermediate dive. Dropping to 33 metres, you'll find the wreck sitting upright, mostly intact, though time has certainly taken its toll. What we really appreciate here are the schools of damselfish that often swirl around the bow, thick enough to momentarily obscure parts of the wreck. Keep an eye out for moray eels tucked into the shadowed sections; they’re pretty reliably found here. It's a good pick for divers comfortable with depth looking for a quiet wreck experience in the area.
