With 157+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, dolphins, dwarf minke whales, humpback whales and mobula rays (devil rays) - Piste de ski offers some of Marseille & Calanques's richest diving. Water ranges 14-25°C, warmest July, August, September.
The Piste de ski, or "Ski Slope," lives up to its name with a gradual sandy descent, eventually meeting rocky outcrops. It's a relaxed dive, good for newer divers or those looking for an easy day out. We often see scorpionfish tucked into the rocks and small schools of Mediterranean damselfish darting about. Visibility here is usually quite good, making it a pleasant, straightforward exploration.
