With 157+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, dolphins, dwarf minke whales, humpback whales and mobula rays (devil rays) - Raventurier offers some of Marseille & Calanques's richest diving. Water ranges 14-25°C, warmest July, August, September.
Raventurier, off the coast of Marseille, is one of those deeper dives that seasoned folk come back to. Dropping to 33 metres, it’s a site for experts, no question. The current here can be a real test, swirling through the underwater topography, so you'll want to be comfortable with some serious drift. What you'll find is a rocky landscape, typical of the Calanques, with nooks and crannies that often shelter large groupers and occasional barracuda schools. It’s not about bright colours; it's about the rugged beauty of the Mediterranean deep. We’d suggest going on a calm day, if you can, to really appreciate the scale of it.
