The Rose-Virginie wreck - Marseille & Calanques
Dropping onto the Rose-Virginie, you’re met with the scattered remains of an old cargo ship, often with a decent current pushing through. It’s not a dramatic upright wreck, more of a debris field where the Mediterranean has taken over. We’ve found moray eels tucked into the collapsed hull sections and octopus camouflaged against the rust. It’s a good spot for a relaxed exploration, poking around the metal ribs and imagining its past, definitely one for divers who appreciate the subtle beauty of a wreck reclaiming its own.
