Blue Manta Diving - Alonissos Marine Park
The team at Blue Manta Diving are the kind of people you just want to grab a beer with after a dive. They’re based right in the heart of the Alonissos Marine Park, which, for us, is one of Greece’s real treasures. This isn't your flashy, high-volume operation; it’s a friendly, professional setup that genuinely cares about showing you the best of the park. What we love most about Blue Manta is their focus on the Alonissos caves and the ancient shipwreck sites, especially the Peristera wreck. Diving the Peristera, with its cargo of amphorae still scattered across the seabed, feels like stepping into a time capsule. It’s got that hush, that sense of history you don’t often find. Beyond the wrecks, the marine park itself has surprisingly vibrant rocky reefs, home to schooling barracuda and some hefty groupers. We’d suggest opting for their morning dives; the light filtering through the water into the caves is something else, painting the walls in shades of blue and silver. If you’re into underwater photography or just want to experience a different side of Mediterranean diving, these guys are your go-to. They’re excellent at catering to small groups, making the whole experience feel personal and relaxed.
