EMMANUEL - Alonissos Marine Park

Emmanuel isn't about depth or big pelagics. This wreck sits in just two metres of water, perfect for a long, relaxed snorkel or a super-shallow dive. It’s a fishing boat, perhaps 10-12 metres long, broken into a few sections. We love how the light plays on the hull, especially mid-morning, illuminating the schools of damselfish that dart in and out of the rusted metal. You’ll find moray eels tucked into crevices, their heads peering out, and we’ve spotted octopus here more than once, changing colour against the sand. It’s an easy, calm site, ideal for photographers wanting to play with ambient light or anyone looking for a chill afternoon exploring history without the pressure of depth. Our favourite part is gliding over the bow, imagining the stories it holds. The visibility is usually excellent, so you get a clear view of the entire wreck from the surface. We'd suggest going early to have it to yourself, just you and the fish.
