FOCOMAR - Alonissos Marine Park

Focomar is a real standout for us in Alonissos, a proper dive into history. This motor vessel went down back in '74, and she’s sitting upright at about 20 metres, making her really accessible. We love the way she’s opened up over the years, giving you these fantastic swim-throughs into the cargo holds. Sunlight shafts down, illuminating schools of small fish that dart between the frames. You can really feel the cool current pushing you gently as you explore the bow, which is still remarkably intact. Look closely for moray eels tucked into the shadowed corners and octopus lurking near the propeller. It’s a photographer's dream, especially when the light hits just right in the afternoon. We’d suggest going then to catch that golden hour glow. This site is perfect for anyone keen on wreck diving without extreme depths, offering a genuine sense of exploration.
