HMS Raglan - Alonissos Marine Park

The HMS Invincible is a proper historical dive, a real beast of a wreck in the often-chilly North Sea. We’ve been down to her a few times, and each trip feels like stepping into a time capsule. She’s not one of those colourful reef dives, but for wreck enthusiasts, she’s a standout. We love the sheer scale of her, the way the structure sprawls across the seabed, giving you a real sense of her former power. You’re really diving history here. Penetrating some of the larger open sections, you can almost hear the creaks and groans of the steel. Visibility can be a bit variable, but on a good day, you get glimpses of the massive gun turrets, now home to fat wolf-fish and scuttling masked crabs. Our favourite moments are often finding a quiet corner, watching sprats dart through the gloom, or spotting a curious common dragonet peeking from a porthole. It’s a dive for those who appreciate the story beneath the waves, for anyone who gets a thrill from exploring a wreck that truly feels alive with history and the life it now supports.
