The Sea Star wreck in Alonissos Marine Park sits at a comfortable 9 metres, making it a truly approachable dive. We found it’s a motor vessel, quite broken up, but you can still pick out the ribs of the hull and some engine parts. It’s been down a while, and that’s what makes it interesting – the metalwork is completely encrusted with sponges and hydroids. We often spot moray eels tucked into the crevices, along with groups of damselfish flitting around the scattered debris. It’s a gentle exploration, perfect for anyone looking to spend some relaxed bottom time with a bit of history.
