TINDALO - Halkidiki

Tindalo isn't your average Mediterranean wreck. This isn't some tiny fishing boat. She’s a proper motor vessel, 147.8 meters of impressive steel, settled upright on the seafloor, and we love that you can see so much of her structure still intact. We’re talking about a wreck where you can trace the lines of her decks, almost feel the ghost of the crews who walked them. The ship's sheer size gives it a different feel compared to other wrecks in the area. Schools of damselfish shimmer around the superstructure, and if you look closely, you’ll spot moray eels peering out from shadowed crevices. Our favourite part? The stern, where the prop is often buzzing with small reef fish, and the light plays off the metal in a way that’s genuinely mesmerising. You'll want to take your time here, slowly circling the hull, letting your eyes adjust to the subtle colours of the growth. It's a dive that rewards patience and a curious eye. We think it’s perfect for divers who appreciate the history and scale of a wreck, not just the critters, though you’ll find plenty of those too.
